How Our Women Are Doing Around The World

Germany
Turbine Potsdam made a vigourous start to their title defence by brushing aside promoted outfit Sindelfingen 9-1 on the opening day of the new season of the  German women's bundesliga . Keelin Winters, Patricia Hanebeck, Lisa Evans, Stefanie Mirlach, Natasa Andonova, Yuki Ogimi and Equatorial Guinea's Genoveva Anonma (two goals) found the net for the defending champions, while an own goal from Sindelfingen centre-back Tamar Dongus completed the nine-goal haul.

Denmark
Defending champions Brondby which features Ugandan striker Anna Senyondwa continued their seemingly unstoppable winning streak with a dominant 4-0 victory over Boldklubben 1913 on matchday 5.In the chasing pack, Taatstrup slipped to third after being held 1-1 against bottom club Odense BK. They were leapfrogged by Fortuna Hjorring, who routed Skovbakken 5-0.Nigerian Chichi Igbo's Fortuna Hjorring are currently 2nd on the league table they will face Taastrup in the Danish Cup competition today.

Last weekend witnessed the start of the new campaign in the Women’s Primera Division in Spain. Defending champions Barcelona got off to a rocky start with a 2-0 defeat against RCD Espanyol, while San Gabriel likewise lost 2-0 to Atletico Madrid. Athletic Club recorded the biggest win of the matchday with a 5-0 triumph over SD Lagunak, but Sporting de Huelva and Sevilla could not find the net as their encounter finished goalless.Rayo Vallencano features Equatorial Guinea's Jade Boho who lie 4th on the league table.
