Turbine Potsdam made a vigourous start to their title defence by brushing aside promoted outfit Sindelfingen 9-1 on the opening day of the new season of the  German women's bundesliga . Keelin Winters, Patricia Hanebeck, Lisa Evans, Stefanie Mirlach, Natasa Andonova, Yuki Ogimi and Equatorial Guinea's Genoveva Anonma (two goals) found the net for the defending champions, while an own goal from Sindelfingen centre-back Tamar Dongus completed the nine-goal haul.

Defending champions Brondby which features Ugandan striker Anna Senyondwa continued their seemingly unstoppable winning streak with a dominant 4-0 victory over Boldklubben 1913 on matchday 5.In the chasing pack, Taatstrup slipped to third after being held 1-1 against bottom club Odense BK.
