African Women's Soccer News

 Ghana's senior women national team will engage Ethiopia in an international friendly ahead of the 2nd leg AWC qualifier against Cameroon.The 1st leg played in Accra, ended in a draw  a fortnight ago with Cameroon looking to snuff out the hopes of Ghana qualifying for the AWC, to be hosted by Equatorial Guinea later this year.Ethiopia on the other hand beat the Twiga Stars of Tanzania by 2 goals to 1 at home and are looking to maintain their winning ways as they play Tanzania on June 18th in the return leg at Dar es Salaam.A win for Ghana and Ethiopia against their respective opponents qualifies them for the finals in Equatorial Guinea.

South Africa vs Nigeria International Friendly
South Africa shared the spoils with Nigeria in an entertaining action packed international friendly played  at the RBF Stadium in Phokeng.Goals were scored by Stella Chinyere 17 minutes after half time for Nigeria and Portia Modise who cancelled out Nigeria's lead 12 minutes to the end of  game.
The 1-1 result left many wanting for more at the end of  proceedings. A return match up has been slated for Abuja on June 23rd.


Senegal vs Morocco AWC qualififer 2nd leg
24 Moroccan national women team players have been called up for preparation for the 2nd leg AWC qualifier against Senegal from June 4 to June 10 at the National Center of Football, Maamora.The game will be played on June 16th in Dakar,Senegal.The 1st leg ended in a goal-less draw. The list of players are as follows-ASMAA BELAATAR,HAYAT KHAYROU,MAZOUZI ROKAYA,HASSNA GHAZALI,BADRI NAJAT,BENDAFI FATNA,ER RMICHI KHADIJA,SALOUA HMAR TOUBA,FADEL NAIMA,ZARHOUN LATIFA,SKATOU FAOUZ,LASSIRI FATIHA,KOUCHRADI SAMIRA,RACHIDA HACHIMI,SAMINE ZINEB,EL JAZOULY HIND,TARKANE DOUNIA,BOUKHAMI SIHAM,LAGHZIL ZINEB,JRAIDI IBTISSA,RABBAH AZIZA,AMZIL MAROUA,HAYAT BELKHAIR,CHEBBAK GHIZLANE,AMZIL MAROUA.

Cameroon vs Ghana
Cameroon are leaving no stone unturned as they prepare to cause Ghana's exit from the AWC in Equatorial Guinea,come 2013. The players are said to be in high spirits and focused on the task ahead. The 3rd ranked country on the continent of Africa according to the latest FIFA rankings are bent on unseating the queens of African women's soccer,the likes of Nigeria and Ghana and so have vowed to do all in their power to stay on top of their game. The Olympic games bound team have the likes of  Russia's FC Energiya player AKABA EDOA Henriette,Poland's FC Katowise player NGOCK YANGO Jeannette and Serbia's ZK Spartak player ENGANAMOUIT Gaelle Deborah ready to dish out the bitter pill of defeat to Ghana.
