Ivory Coast Football Federation President Beefs up Subsidy For Women's Soccer

The president of the Ivorian Football Federation,Augustine Sidy Diallo has decided to increase the subsidy for women's football for the 2012 league season,in view of the steady progress made by the Ivorian women's football program.In a news briefing by the chairperson of women's football,Bertha Adou Caye,leaders of the various women's football clubs will see their annual grants increase from 1.5 million to 2.5 million CFA francs.

Four new clubs will be added to the current six to create a ten club league and will be given a 2 million CFA francs package to enable them prepare for the league season. President Augustine Diallo has personally adopted the women's soccer program and has pledge to support its success financially. 

Meanwhile, the Ivory coast national women's football team,The Lady Elephants will engage their Mozambican counterparts in an AWC 2012 qualifier on May 26th in Abidjan.
