AAG News-Cameroon Beats Algeria,Mozambique Gets Points as Guinea Withdraws

The Lionesses of Cameroon beat Algeria by 3 goals to nil in a one sided game dominated by a more purposeful Cameroonian team at the Maxaquene Stadium,Maputo. Eight minutes after kick-off, Cameroon registered their first goal and went  two goals up at the end of  the first half.

Algeria played a woman short when one of their defenders got sent off in the 17th minute for a flagrant foul,Algeria came back  from the break with some intensity but failed to weather the storm.85 minutes of play later,Cameroon increased their tally to 3 goals. The win puts Cameroon safely in the semi-finals of the competition.  With Guinea's withdrawal,the host nation,Mozambique were awarded 3 points and 3 goals.
