The 8th edition of the African Women's Championship kicked off in
Equatorial Guinea with DR Congo and the host nation,Equatorial Guinea
coming out victors. Equatorial Guinea won by a lone goal against South
Africa in front of a 15000 home crowd on a rainy day, which made ball
control a daunting task for both sides. The only goal was scored by
striker Gloria Chinasa.New comers, Senegal,were vanquished by DR Congo
by 1 goal to nil under similar conditions.Matches lined up for tomorrow
