Zambia's National Women's Team(She-Polopolo) won't underrate Malawi

Coach of Zambia women’s team Enala Simbeya has said she will not be banking on history when her team welcome Malawi on Saturday.

Zambia, who are known as ‘The She-polopolo',  and Malawi clash at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka in a 2012 CAF African Women’s Championship first round, first leg qualifier.

The last time the two teams met in 2002, Zambia pounded Malawi 8-0 at the COSAFA Womens’ Championship held in Zimbabwe.

“We can’t underrate Malawi. We beat them a long time ago and football changes," Simbeya said.

"The way they played yesterday is not the way they will play today.”

Meanwhile Malawi, who arrived in the country on Wednesday, said they are not at all overawed by Zambia.

"We won’t let them beat us easily, we need to win this game,” Temwa Msuku said.

Winner over the two legs will face Banyana Banyana of South Africa in the second round in May over two legs for a place at the Equatorial Guinea finals in November.
