Nigeria Women's League Board roles out plans to revive female football

Nigeria Women League Board has rolled out its plan to restore back the lost glory of Nigeria in women category of continental and global football.


Head of marketing and sponsorship committee, of the board, Adebowale Adeoye stated this in a statement issued in Abuja and made available to sporting press, noting Women League Board will soon launch its new logo and unveil the 2012 program, tagged 'Tapping Hidden Resources in Women Football Promotion'.     


Saying the programme is geared towards making women football self-sufficient and will also create more employment opportunities for every participant in the round leather game.


The first democratically elected board for the Nigeria Women League also claimed to have finalized all arrangement to bring back fans to stands in our stadia in Nigeria by collaborating with multi nationals and other business organizations to achieve good result on this later project.


“The logo we are set to lunch speaks the mind of United Nation with theme of using sports to liberate girls and women; second project has to do with rewarding every participants in the round leather game, these include, fans, sponsors, players, coaches, referees, media, club owners and others, this special project is a strategy to bring back lost fans to our stadia, we are collaborating with other business organizations to achieve good result on these”, NITO Queens boss noted.


He added that “one would expect NFF to be more concerned on the issue concerning the league for purpose of restructuring and repositioning of it, as the league is the major producer of players that represent the country in all international championship, but NFF does not know that neglecting the league will hamper the progress at international competitions, just like what we are witnessing now”.
