I’m not under pressure -Eucharia Uche

Super Falcons' coach, Eucharia Uche has said she is not under pressure to win the London 2012 Olympics ticket after the Super Eagles failed to qualify for the 2012 Afcon on Saturday.

Falcons have a tall task of avoiding defeat to the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon in the second leg of the 2012 London Olympic Games qualification on October 22 in Yaounde, Cameroon.

The Nigerians will be taking a 2-1 first leg advantage to Cameroon and must avoid defeat to be sure of a place in the quadrennial multiple sports fiesta.

The former Nigerian striker told SuperSport.com that the Eagles' ouster from the Africa Cup of Nations does not put her under any additional pressure to pick the Olympics ticket ahead of their Central African foes.

“Super Eagles’ failure to qualify for the Nations Cup has nothing to do with us.

“I am sure we will qualify for the Olympics, I am quite certain about it.

“I am not under pressure, the only pressure I know I am (under) at the moment is to do the right thing, assemble our best legs and beat Cameroon in Yaounde,” she said.

Uche informed SuperSport.com that her foreign legion will start arriving to the camp after their October 16 clubs’ duties.

“I am expecting the foreign-based players after October 16, that is, after their league matches on October 16.”

The African Women Championship gold-winning coach further revealed that Rivers Angels’ midfielder, Stella Mbachu, who is yet to hit camp due to ill health, will arrive camp on Tuesday.

“Mbachu will arrive the camp today (Monday), or Tuesday. She is fit now,” she said.
