News gathered by yours truly states that FIFA,the world's football governing body who also oversee the Olympic games soccer tournament has asked for the withdrawal of Equatorial Guinea from the Olympic games qualifiers following the suspension of Jade Boho.
Jade Boho, a star player for Equatorial Guinea, was suspended by FIFA from the on going women's world cup in Germany,when it came to light that she was ineligible to play for Equatorial Guinea,having played for Spain,her country of birth within the last 5 years.The Nigeria Football Federation said in a statement that FIFA has "ejected Equatorial Guinea from the race" for the 2012 London Olympics. NFF says it has been informed of the decision — and its new opponent in final qualifiers — in a letter from FIFA.
Equatorial Guinea were scheduled to battle Nigeria for one of Africa's two slots of the 2012 London Olympics.Cameroon will now play against Nigeria
