Africa Women's Soccer-2nd round Olympic Qualifier results

The Ethiopian National Women's Football team has advanced to the semi-final on the away goal rule despite loosing to Ghana's side 1-2 in Accra on Saturday. Ethiopia defeated Ghana 1-0 in Addis Ababa on the first leg.
The Black Queens of Ghana appeared on the verge of progressing in the qualifiers when Faisa Ibrahim's header opened the scoring in the first half.
Leticia Zikpi doubled Ghana's lead after the break but the 2012 Olympic Games dream went out of the window when Ethiopia's Rehima Zerga got the consolation goal, that made the difference.

The Super Falcon's of Nigeria
The Brave Gladiators of Namibia put up a spirited performance in their 2-0 loss to the Super Falcons of Nigeria in the second leg of their London 2012 Olympics qualifiers at the Sam Nujoma Stadium on Saturday.
Both goals came in the first half for the Nigerians through Ebere Orji and Stella Mbachu who were by far the better team as they were more enterprising and had possession of the ball for most of the time.
The Nigerians advance on a 9-0 goal agrregate.

Banyana Banyana lost 1-0 to Tunisia to tie their aggregate score to 1-1 after they had won by the same margin in the first leg match in Durban a fortnight ago. They held their nerve to win 6-5 in a sudden death penalty shootout to take one step closer to the dream of qualifying for the Olympic Games for the first time.Noko Matlau, Yola Jafta, Nompumelelo Nyandeni, Gabisile Hlumbane, goalkeeper Thoko Mndaweni and Kylie Ann Louw all scored, with Mndaweni pulling off a save with her legs from the sixth Tunisian penalty kick taken.

South Africa's Banyana Banyana are now joined by Ethiopia,Nigeria’s Super Falcons and Equatorial Guinea who beat Cameroon by 2-0 in Malabo.
Goals from Equatorial Guinea's Genoveva Anonma and Jade Boho ended Cameroon's Olympic dreams. The 4 nations will compete for  two slots at the 2012 Olympics in London.
